Planning Your Trip to Miami

A successful cosmetic surgery begins with a well-thought-out plan. Our patients come from all over the world, and we are happy to provide as much information as possible to make your experience not only positive but positively life-changing! Besides locking in your price by making a deposit, here are some practical tips to keep in mind when planning your trip and surgery.

  • Get to know our staff; they will be your advocates.
  • If you smoke, it’s preferable that you quit a month before your procedure.
  • Bring a friend or a family member with you, or arrange for help following your procedure.
  • If coming alone, arrange for help following your procedure.
  • Arrange for transportation to and from the Surgery Center.
  • Allow time for your pre-operative testing (but not more than 30 days ahead of time)
  • Have realistic expectations. All cosmetic procedures have limitations — be sure to understand what the limitations of your procedure(s) are.
  • Please feel free to ask our team members for accommodation referrals as we sometimes have discounts available at specific hotels, and recovery rooms.

You must have transportation from the surgery center to your accommodations and help for at least 24 hours after your procedure.

The Preoperative Process

Once you have confirmed your desire to receive one or more procedures, our office will send you your surgeon’s instructions, a medical questionnaire, and a prescription for the necessary laboratory testing. Pre-op testing should be done in your local area, less than 30 days but more than two weeks before the scheduled surgery date. Depending on these initial results, the surgeon may order additional testing. If your results expire (past 30 days), you may need to be re-tested.

Travel and Recovery Time

As soon as you are cleared for surgery, get ready to book your flight!

If traveling by air, book your flight into one of these airports:

  • Miami International (MIA) – Ride-share fee can range from $20.00 to $30.00 (approximately 7 miles)
  • Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) – Ride-share fee can range from $35 to $50 (approx 29 miles)

Patients are encouraged to arrive the day prior to their first in-person pre-operative appointment.
